The Varsity Boys Hockey Team defended their title yesterday winning their eighth consecutive league championship over Delhi by the score of 4-1.
The boys started the game determined and strong scoring 3 goals in the first 7 minutes of play. They carried the play the rest of the game which ultimately lead to their decisive win.
Shout outs go to the teams 4 goal scorers – Mason Demeulemeester, Tyler Santos, Myles Thompson and Andrew Lorimer.
Goaltender Jack Millard, who was solid between the pipes.
But most importantly the player of the game, defenseman Hunter Gallagher, which was decided unanimously by his teammates and coaches for his outstanding play.
The boys are reminded of their MANDATORY meeting today at the start of lunch in Mr. VanParys’ room (room 242) regarding CWOSSA next week.
Mr. Webster would like to thank and congratulate all the members of the HT Chamber Choir, HT Jazz Band, and HT Concert Band for their tremendous performances at the Norfolk Musical Arts Festival this week. What an incredible achievement, all of these groups competed and earned first place in each of their respective classes! So much hard work, preparation, and dedication went into each of these performances and Mr. Webster could not be more proud of all these groups and the way they performed.
Mr. Webster would also like to thank the members of the HT staff and students that helped to accommodate these performances, as well as the HT Custodial Team for all their hard work in setting up and preparing for the events here at the school. Lastly, Mr. Webster would be remiss if he didn't send out a massive thank you to Mr. Nicholson for everything that he has done to ensure that this event ran smoothly, efficiently, and successfully. Way to go, Titans!"
From a very proud Mr. Ellis.
Over the past three days in Orangeville our girls curling team -Ally Cable, Erica Vanetton, Camryon Winkworth, Kereia Harris and Emma Stewart placed second in CWOSSA.
The competition was tough and the girls stepped up every game.
All but Emma are new to the game which makes moving on to OFSSA in North Bay that much better.
Thanks you to Will Mccarroll’s dad Mike for coaching this team to victory.
The boys team was to play the same day as the girls but the snow day postponed their CWOSSA championship to next Tuesday and Wednesday.
