Science
The science department contains five fully equipped labs. One of these labs is a shared lab (contained by glass and adjacent to two science classrooms) which allows flexibility in terms of the pacing of the curriculum and lesson design. Each lab contains an eye wash station and there are three available fume hoods. In addition, there is a separately ventilated chemical storage room.
The teaching staff consists of eight full-time/part-time teachers including 2 chemistry specialists, 1 physics specialist and 2 biology specialists. The courses offered include academic, applied, workplace (locally developed), college, and university level. Staff tutorials and a practical hands-on approach to the Science curriculum promote a holistic and rewarding experience.
