Tryouts for the Holy Trinity Junior Boys’ Basketball team will begin tonight at 4:30 in the gym. Boys in grades 9 & 10 are welcome to tryout. If you are interested in trying out but cannot make the practice tonight, please see Mr. O’Neail in room 249 during the lunch period. Tryouts for the team will continue next week.

Grad photos start next week, if you have paid your fees the link has been emailed to your school email. Please set up your appointment as soon as possible. Also, when entering your name, please include your last name. 

 

A quick reminder to all students that TLC is open at lunchtime Monday to Thursday.  We have senior student volunteers that can assist you with your science and math questions.  Also, we still have some peer tutors available in all subjects willing to assist students with their studies.  Feel free to drop in anytime to inquire. 

 

A reminder to all grade 12 University bound students. The How to apply to University workshop will be on TODAY at 10:30 am in the lower cafeteria.  This presentation will walk you through the process of applying, this is also when you will receive your unique PIN number required to apply to University.  All students who plan to apply to university should attend.  

Please remember to bring a pen or a pencil.

Attention boys interested in trying out for the Varsity Hockey Team.

Please sign-up on the sheet posted outside the Phys-Ed office by the end of this week.

Players are also asked to complete the tryout form also located outside the Phys-Ed office prior to the first tryout.

Tryouts will begin next week.

There has been a job posted on the jobs board in guidance for a part time student assistant with HN Reach. 

 

Grads have been emailed the link to book your grad photo session if the fees have been paid. Please be sure to check your school email.

 

The junior and senior girls basketball teams ended their regular season last night in Delhi. 

The juniors came back from an early season loss against the Raiders and defeated the team 49-29. Awesome defence by Maeve Surprun, Sweed Thornewell, Gabby Moore and Selena Grey. Top scorers were Sweed Thornewell with 16, Aaliyah Hoover with 10 and Rachael Rogers with 10. 

The seniors ended the regular season with undefeated record and secured the semi-finals at home in the HT gym next Tuesday. Great work girls. 

Come out and support the junior and senior girls teams on Tuesday as they fight to win the AABHN title!

Shoutout to the Jr. Boys Volleyball team who played the tough SCS team last night. Even with the coach messing up the positions, the guys rallied together and played some amazing volleyball scoring 20 points a set keeping the game constantly close. Even with the loss, the post season is looking promising after that game - keep up the good work! Practice tonight after school - let us know in the Heja app if you are able to attend.

Senior Boys Basketball Tryouts will be starting this week.

Tryout #1 – Thursday November 3rd at 7:15am-8:30am

Tryout #2 – Monday November 7th 4:30pm-6:00pm

Please see Mr. Flynn in the Phys Ed office for a permission form.

 

The junior and senior girls basketball teams were in Waterford yesterday to take on the Wolves. 

The junior girls beat the Wolves with a score of 61-14. Top scorers were Rachael Rogers, Sweed Thornewell, Parker Lennox and Sophie Sym. 

The senior girls continued their undefeated regular season streak with a score of 72-17 against Waterford. Great game for all players. 

Practice today after school.

Today in the upper cafe, the special education class will be selling sweet treats for $2.00 to raise money for trips.  All proceeds are welcome!

The Norfolk Musical Arts Festival is now accepting registrations for its February Festival. There are classes in Vocal, Piano, Instruments, Choir, Strings, English and French Speech Arts. You can find information online at www.nmaf.ca or see the poster which is posted in the Music Room. 

This is a great opportunity for all of you who would love to perform publicly and receive a professional adjudication. There are scholarships and trophies available for many competitors. Don’t wait. Register today! 

 

The senior boys volleyball team won against Valley yesterday after school. They played like a team and had some awesome hits and great blocks. Great job boys. Please dismiss the boys today at 2:30 for their game against St. John’s college 

 

Congratulations to the Jr. Boys volleyball team who not only won last night but played the best volleyball of the season thus far. Well done boys and let's keep the momentum going. See you at 2:30 today for the exhibition game against SJC.

This is a reminder from Mrs. Bouw that any specialist high skills major registration forms need to be handed in to Mrs. Bouw in room 246 by Friday at 9am. If you missed the meeting and are interested in knowing what a specialist high school major in health and wellness is- please come room 246 today at the beginning of lunch! 

 

Any students who ordered health care scrubs or hoodies- the orders can be picked up in room 246 at lunch today. If you have a class this semester with Mrs. Bouw- you don't have to come in at lunch- you will get them during class today. 

 

The senior girls basketball team defeated Cayuga 64-30 last night. All of the girls contributed to the win with high scorers Charli Thornewell (17), Sophia Bomberry (15) and Emma Jay Broer (10). Great work Titans. 

Practice after school today for juniors and seniors. 

 

The cheerleading team is looking to add some new members to the 2022 - 2023 team. If you’re interested in trying out please grab a permission form package outside of room 255. The tryout will be held on Tuesday November 1st at 7:00 in the small gym.

Attention students interested in a career in the health care field. If you are interested in learning about registering for the Specialist High Skills Major in Health and wellness- come for a brief 5 min meeting in Mrs. Bouw’s room at the beginning of lunch today in room 246! 

If you don’t know what a specialist high skills major is...  then it is time to find out! 

This includes students taking health care, grade 10 science, grade 11 bio and grade 11 Chem!

Come on out to see what our colleges have to offer.
